Discover Sanjh Restaurant & Bar

Walking into Sanjh Restaurant & Bar feels like stepping into a place where modern energy meets old-school hospitality. Located at 5250 N O'Connor Blvd Suite 146, Irving, TX 75039, United States, this spot has quietly built a strong reputation among locals who appreciate bold flavors, thoughtful plating, and a menu that doesn’t play it safe. I first visited on a busy Friday night, and despite the crowd, the staff handled everything with calm confidence, which says a lot about how the place is run.

The menu leans into contemporary Indian cuisine while respecting traditional roots. Instead of overwhelming guests with endless options, it focuses on well-executed classics and creative twists. Dishes like butter chicken, lamb chops, and street-style chaat arrive with consistent quality. A server explained how the kitchen preps its gravies in small batches throughout the day, a method commonly recommended by culinary institutes such as the Culinary Institute of America for maintaining freshness and depth of flavor. That attention to process shows up on the plate, especially in the balance of spices, which feels intentional rather than aggressive.

One thing that stood out during my visits is how the restaurant adapts to different dining styles. On one occasion, I stopped by for a quick lunch, and the service was efficient without feeling rushed. Another time, I stayed longer with friends, exploring the bar menu. The cocktail list is curated to complement the food, using ingredients like ginger, cardamom, and citrus. According to industry insights from the National Restaurant Association, restaurants that align their beverage programs closely with their food offerings tend to see higher customer satisfaction, and this place clearly understands that connection.

Reviews from regular diners often highlight consistency, which is one of the hardest things to maintain in the restaurant world. Consistency isn’t accidental; it comes from systems. The kitchen follows standardized recipes while still allowing chefs to adjust seasoning based on ingredient quality, a practice supported by food safety and quality guidelines from organizations like the FDA. That balance between structure and flexibility helps explain why repeat customers keep coming back.

The location in Irving also works in its favor. It’s easy to reach, with ample parking, and close to business centers, making it popular for both casual dinners and work-related gatherings. The dining room layout supports this mix, offering open seating for groups and quieter corners for more relaxed meals. Cleanliness is clearly a priority, which builds trust, especially in a time when diners are more aware of health standards. Data from the CDC shows that visible hygiene practices significantly influence customer confidence, and this restaurant checks that box without making it feel clinical.

There are a few limitations worth noting. During peak hours, wait times can stretch longer than expected, and reservations are a smart move. Also, while the menu is strong, those looking for extremely regional or niche dishes might find the selection more curated than expansive. That said, the focused approach seems intentional and works well for the audience they serve.

Overall, the experience feels thoughtful from start to finish. From menu design and ingredient handling to service flow and atmosphere, everything points to a team that understands both the art and the business of dining. It’s the kind of place that earns its reputation not through hype, but through steady, reliable execution that turns first-time visitors into regulars.

  • I celebrated my birthday at this fine dining restaurant, and the experience was truly delightful from start to finish. Our host for the evening, Gayatri, was an absolute gem – warm, attentive, and respectful of our space. She took the time to walk us through the menu, patiently explained the dishes, and even offered great suggestions, all without being intrusive. We started with the Truffle Blue Cheese Kulcha – a rich, flavorful appetizer that set the tone for the meal. For drinks, we had the Anarkali, a refreshing blend of peach, pomegranate, and pineapple. I requested for the egg white to be removed, and they were happy to accommodate, which I truly appreciated. For the main course, we indulged in their Dal Makhani, which had a wonderfully creamy texture, paired with Laccha Paratha and Pudina Laccha Paratha. The pudina version had powdered mint sprinkled on top – a unique and surprisingly nice twist! The highlight, however, was the unexpected but thoughtful gesture – a small slice of birthday cake with a candle brought to our table. It was such a sweet surprise and made the celebration even more special. Overall, an amazing evening with great food, lovely ambiance, and heartfelt service. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fine dining experience with a personal touch.

  • Hands down some of the best dishes in Entire dallas are here!!! We went to celebrate our bday dinner here. Upon arrival we were greeted by a receptionist and guided to our table. We reserved ahead and I encourage to do so as this place gets booked up easily. Our host was Gayathri if i remember correctly. She handed over the menu to us and clarified the dishes to us. We tried a couple of drinks and they were good. The star of the show was Bharwan Paneer Tikka their signature Paneer appetizer, It was amazing and so fresh that i had to ask about it. I was told they make their own paneer to hold and control the quality. It was hands down by far the best paneer appetizer. Then we ordered some Naans with palak paneer and this was also fantastic. On the drinks we tried Virgin Mojito it was good. Plenty of wine selection. I would definitely recommend this place for some one looking for fine dining experience. Location was good and classy. They have outdoor seating as well. Parking was a little hard to find.

  • We had an absolutely delightful experience! The food was exceptional — the Dal Makhni was one of the creamiest and most flavorful I’ve ever had, and the Smokey Paneer Tikka was perfectly marinated, bursting with rich, aromatic spices. Every bite felt authentic and comforting. The drinks were also top-notch — beautifully balanced and presented with care. The ambience added to the charm: warm, inviting, and tastefully decorated, setting the perfect tone for a relaxed evening. Our server/hostess Gayatri was incredibly polite and attentive without being intrusive — something I really appreciate. What truly made the night special was the surprise birthday cake they brought out — such a thoughtful and personal touch that made us feel genuinely valued. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving great Indian flavors, impeccable service, and a touch of heartfelt hospitality. Will definitely be coming back!

The fantastic Masaaledar Chaampan was just mmmmmmuah! Drinks were good, the Dal makhani is out of this world. Rasmalai was a revelation! Our server Deep was great with the suggestions. Definitely a place to go for an occasion!!

  • I had a phenomenal dinning experience at Sanjh! Everything was perfect 10/10 from start to finish: the food, the ambiance, the drinks, and especially the service. Sanju and Aryan’s hospitality was top notch and they went above and beyond to make the experience feel extra special. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The drinks were creative and unique, and the ambiance was elegant yet cozy; a perfect celebration spot or dinner date. I highly recommend trying the Bharwan Paneer as an appetizer (presentation alone is stunning) and finishing with their Rasmalai for dessert. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in Dallas.

  • 10/10 across the board! This place as soon as you walk in feel the ambiance of fine dining and the vibe was so good. The service was literally the best I’ve had ever. Shivani was our gracious and wonderful server and she explained all the menu items and gave her recommendation after I asked. We ordered so much and ended up taking a lot of it home for left overs. This place is so beautiful, really hit the mark in an Indian fine dining experience. We will be back many times.

  • We dined at Sanjh recently, and it was a wonderful experience! The atmosphere is amazing — both indoor and outdoor seating are beautiful, especially with the lake view when the weather is nice. The ambience is calm, elegant, and perfect for a relaxed evening out. The food was really good, and the presentation was top-notch. You can tell they put a lot of effort into how every dish looks and tastes. A special shoutout to Akriti, our host — she was extremely polite, attentive, and made our experience even better with her great service. And I have to mention the Rasmalai dessert — it’s an absolute must-try! Very fancy, beautifully plated, and tasted amazing. Highly recommend visiting Sanjh if you’re looking for good food, great service, and a lovely ambience by the lake.

  • We enjoyed a lovely Indian business dinner last evening that exceeded expectations in both taste and atmosphere. The dishes were rich in authentic flavors, perfectly spiced, and beautifully presented. Each bite showcased the depth and complexity of traditional Indian cuisine, making it a truly memorable culinary experience. The dessert was the perfect finale to the evening (see picture below)! What made the evening even more special was the outdoor seating. The ambience was serene and inviting, with the Christmas lights in the distance with and a comfortable setup that created a warm, relaxing vibe. It was the perfect setting to savor great food while enjoying the company of colleagues. The service was also the perfect tempo which bringing each course and checking in on our table. Highly recommend Sanjh for anyone looking for a flavorful Indian meal paired with a charming outdoor dining experience.
